Philosophy
THE MANIFESTO
We reject the residential status quo. The modern suburb is a graveyard of uninspired boxes, chopped into dark corridors and purposeless rooms. Grove Tiny Pavilion was founded on the belief that a home should not merely contain life; it should elevate it through structural drama and spatial clarity.
"Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light."
— Adapted from Le Corbusier
Our Core Tenets
- 1. The Honest Structure: Materials must not masquerade as something else. Steel must look like steel. Concrete must show its formwork. Drywall should be minimized, used only where absolutely necessary.
- 2. The Sovereignty of Light: A structure without natural light is a tomb. Architecture's primary function is to capture, diffuse, and bend daylight into the living environment.
- 3. Space Over Square Footage: Real estate metrics have ruined architecture by valuing floor area over volume. We prioritize double-height voids and expansive airspaces over cramped, low-ceiling rooms.
- 4. The Eradication of the Trivial: Ornamentation is a distraction from form. We strip away decorative trims, baseboards, and unnecessary hardware to reveal the pure geometry of the intersection between planes.
This is not design for everyone. It is avant-garde logic applied to domestic living, aimed at those who view their residence as an architectural statement. We build pavilions of the mind.
